Do I need to have my phone with me to use my Somewear Global Hotspot?

You need your phone and the companion Somewear App to use the 2- way text messaging, weather report, and tracking functionality.

You DO NOT need your phone to trigger and send an SOS distress signal directly from the device or to simply turn tracking on and off. However, in an emergency scenario your phone is valuable as you will be able to communicate directly with emergency responders in app.

To turn tracking on/off from your Global Hotspot press the power button three times consecutively. You will see the LED flash, which confirms you've turned it on/off successfully.
